The Briarheart Palace is the home of Darkthorne. Ever since Darkthorne tore the Heartseed apart a dark replica of the World Tree grew. It is not shown on the Atlas as its leaves cover it, but it is accessible through the chapter one questline (Sacred Grove Questline).
