The Super Spooktacular is an annual event during the month of October in celebration of Halloween. The event features many objectives such as: stopping the Pumpkin Prince, Trick-or-Treat, ghost hunting, etc.

Starting in Sanctuary[]

Since Halloween Harry is used in so many of these quests, he now has his own quick-click transport icon on the game Atlas during the event!

Completing A Dark Future unlocks the following two quest series:

NOTE: You will not be offered the last quest in each series if you have accepted, but have not completed, the last quest in the other series.

After you've finished the quest series for each side, you will be able to go back and sabotage the dance practice at any time:
- Vampire Dance Practice
- Werewolf Dance Practice

There's a world-wide announcement every 15 minutes, to let you know a "battle" is about to begin. Once you have completed the original quest for each of them, you can participate at any time. It alternates between the 2 of them:
- The Vampires vs. Werewolves Dance-off -- the reward is either a Vampire Cake Slice or a Werewolf Cake Slice, depending on which team wins.
- The Pumpkin Prince -- the reward is Ectoplasmic Goo when you hit the ghouls, ghosts, and headstones; and a Mystery Gift and 10 more Ectoplasmic Goo from the prince's treasure chest, once he is defeated.

Vampires vs. Werewolves[]

SpookySpooktacular — Vampires vs. Werewolves Dance-off

During the event, Madame Zelda hosts the quest that begin the questline concepted around a dance battle between Vampires and Werewolves, stationed near the Bone Bog Cemetery dungeon.

Vs. Pumpkin Prince[]

To defeat the Pumpkin Prince, you must participate in the live minigame in one of the following places that the Pumpkin Prince will spawn in every 15 minutes. There will be server broadcasts announcing when he spawns.

Once you see the in-game announcement, head to the Halloween celebration in the given town. You should be able to find ectoplasmic destabilizer dispseners nearby that you can click on. The Pumpkin Prince himself along with grave elementals and necrowart zombies will appear in the general vicinity of the party and begin working his way toward it.

Use the number 3 key on your keyboard to firing at the Pumpkin Prince with the ectoplasmic shooter. It will take several people working together to take down this menace. After the Pumpkin Prince is defeated, a treasure chest will drop, rewarding one random Mystery Gift to everyone that participated.

Bone Bog Cemetery[]

A unique battle are introduced in this event. It require you to encounter the Pumpkin Prince in a battle which requires you to be level 13 combat job or above to enter. In the battle where you going with Lucinda to fight against the Pumpkin Prince, and send his undead army back to the ghost world.

Years of Super Spooktacular[]

2009[]

Daily Halloween Bonus Wheel for cool rewards with a Halloween theme. This was discontinued when Prize Wheels were added to every minigame and battle.
LIMITED EDITION Werewolf Outfit was only offered during the 2009 celebration. There were only 1,000 of these costumes available for purchase.
Penguin Outfit was moved to Snow Days for 2010.
Super Spooktacular 2009 Member Pack: Free Realms put together a sweet Halloween themed bundle for current members! If you were an active member in good standing between October 1, 2009 and October 21, 2009, you were rewarded this bundle! The bundle included: Chatty Costume, Pumpkin Paper Bag Mask, Skull Lantern (green), Troll Face Paint Card, Phantom Face Paint Card, and Starry Moons Face Paint Card.

SOE ran a Trick or Treat Event October 28 - 31. The rewards for the 4 days were a Graveyard Flambe, a Super Star Booster scroll, a Noxious Pork Chops, and a Prospector's Scroll.

2013[]

Super Spooktacular 2013 runs from October 1, 2013 through November 12, 2013.
